Toyota began the year in India with a very impressive growth of 89% compared to the same month last year. The company sold 17,395 units as compared to 9,187 units in January last year. The growth was led by Etios series i.e. Etios sedan and Liva hatchback totalling 8,874 units. The Etios sold 4,844 units as compared to 1,651 units last year. Etios Liva also made a sale of 4,030 units. The New Innova and New Fortuner launched at the Delhi Auto Expo recorded sales of 6,794 units and 941 units respectively. The Corolla Altis sold 785 units. This year Toyota has also improved interiors of Etios and Liva models whose quality became a question mark on the quality of Toyota products.
