Following is the list of top ten best sellers in India during the month of December 2012. Figures have been rounded off to nearest 100 -
1. Suzuki Alto (26200)
2. Suzuki Swift (17400)
3. Suzuki Dzire (13100)
4. Mahindra Bolero (9300)
5. Hyundai Eon (7800)
6. Hyundai i10 (7200)
7. Toyota Innova (6500)
8. Tata Indica (5600)
9. Suzuki Ertiga (5200)
10. Hyundai i20 (5100)
Suzuki has a market share of 43 per cent of all cars sold in India during this month which is much higher compared to that of second rank which goes to Hyundai with 14 per cent market share. Suzuki during this period sold 82,100 cars. Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata and Toyota were third, fourth and fifth in this race respectively. Italy's Fiat was at the lowest rank in this list with a total of just 369 cars sold this month.
