New version of A Star launched

A-Star, Maruti Suzuki’s 1000 cc hatchback, is now available with some interior changes.  This model has not been doing well and the monthly sales were around 1000 units during the previous year.  This was mainly due to shortage of space, in the rear as well as in the boot.  This is one of those rare models whose export sales are more than domestic sales.  The company has now put some minor changes in 2012 version of this car as detailed below-
Ø  Duel tone interiors with beige upholstery
Ø  Reworked front seat head restraints
Ø  50-50 rear split seats
Ø  Airbags optional in one of the version
Ø  New alloy wheels
Ø  New Colours: Caffeine Brown and Glistening Grey

Suzuki also added a new version Zxi besides already existing Lxi and Vxi.  Following is the price list at New Delhi (Ex-showroom)-
  •  LXi : Rs. 3.66 lakhs
  •  VXi : Rs. 3.97 lakhs
  •  VXi Automatic : Rs. 4.47 lakhs
  •  ZXi : Rs. 4.22 lakhs
  •  ZXi with Airbags and ABS : Rs. 4.40 lakhs
