On 25th of January, Mahindra reopened bookings for its SUV i.e. XUV 500 in 19 cities in India. In two days, company has received 6000 applications for this SUV. Final orders will be confirmed through a computerized random allocation process or in other words, a lucky draw. Mahindra can service a maximum of 7,200 orders in the second phase of XUV500 bookings and the automaker plans to close bookings on the February 3rd, after which it will allocate 7,200 cars to buyers. This will ensure that nobody waits for too long as is happening in case of some of the popular diesel vehicles from various companies.
