Top Five Car Manufacturers in India - August 2012

Following is the list of top five car manufacturers in India on the basis of monthly sales figures for August 2012 (figures rounded off to nearest 100)-

1. Suzuki        50100
2. Hyundai     28300
3. Tata            22300
4. Mahindra   21200
5. Toyota        14000

Suzuki has maintained its lead among the car manufacturers inspite of shutdown of one of its plants due to labour problems. In the bottom three, there were Mitsubishi (363 units), Fiat (470 units) and Skoda (1789 units).

Evo X, Montero and Pajero from Mitsubishi, Grand Vitara and Kizashi from Suzuki and Beetle from VW failed to get any customer during this month.
